Whew! I had a great first half and then hit the wall around 18 or twenty. Had to walk part of the way in the last miles. My legs were killing me. Maybe I did the first part too fast I wanted to do an 8:30 pace but clicked along for almost half the race at 8:OO. Is this why I died? It was my second marathon, I'm 49. I ran 4:07:33...disappointed. However, it was faster than my first marathon..Marine Corps. 3 years ago, 4:25. Congratulations to all competitors. You were all great and so nice to me when you saw I was struggling. Thanks for a great race to all organizers and volunteers.

Awesome. Everyone involved in this event deserves a tremendous amount of credit. The organization was perfect. It helped to have great weather and enthusiastic crowds, particularly the last couple of miles after fighting through the wind. Finished my first marathon (so now I can be called a marathoner) - we will all sleep well tonight. Peace, Ross

Three Cheers for Po Yee! You did it! And a 4:42 at that. I know those last 7.2 must've hurt. I'm glad to have met you and was so psyched to see you in the finishing times. Congratulations!

TO ONE AND ALL; IT WAS GREAT! HOW I AM TYPING THIS RIGHT NOW IS BEYOND ME. MY TIGGER EARS PULLED ME THROUGH AGAIN, REALLY, THOUGH IT WAS MY TRAINING WITH GERRY LADAS, ANN ROBERTS, GLEN BROWNING, MARTINIA, AND MARIA THAT REALLY DID IT, BUT MOST OF ALL IT WAS GLENN BROWNING, HE STAYED WITH ME AND HELPED ME QUALIFY FOR BOSTON 2000!!!!! THANKS TO ALL AND TO GERRY B. FOR A GREAT TIME...KATHY L.

There are only a few hours to go and I'm quite nervous with anticipation. I am a first time marathoner and there seems to be many others that are running for the first time as well. Good luck to all. Thanks, Dennis for all those hours of training. We will make it to the finish.
